Bank of America says its website is back to normal after technical problems caused two days of sporadic outages.
Bank spokeswoman Tara Burke says the website is now fully operational. She says the recent problems were not the result of hacking, and no customer information was compromised.
The website started experiencing problems on Friday, a day after BofA said it would start charging a $5 monthly fee for customers who use debit cards. The website was slower than usual, and some customers trying to log on received error messages.
The bank said Friday that the site had been fixed. But problems continued into Saturday.
Bank of America, based in Charlotte, N.C., is the biggest U.S bank by deposits.
