WHEAT: Wheat prices rebounded on signs of tighter U.S. spring wheat supplies as demand for high-quality wheat improves. Wheat ended up 2.4 percent. Corn and soybeans also rose.
SOME OPTIMISM: Investors were cautiously optimistic about signs that the U.S. economy is improving. German lawmakers voted in favor of expanding the powers of a bailout fund for the 17 nations that use the euro currency.
MIXED BAG: Oil and silver rose. Other metals fell as investors adjusted their holdings ahead of the end of the third quarter Friday.
