Celanese Corp., a specialty materials company, said Thursday that it will raise prices by 8 percent to 10 percent on two of its acetate products.
The price increases affect acetate flake and acetate tow for core grade items.
The Dallas company's acetate unit said prices for some low-volume tow and specialty tow items will increase by a differentiated amount.
The higher prices will take effect Oct. 1 or as contracts allow.
Shares of Celanese fell 59 cents to close at $46.42.
