Barnes & Noble Inc. said Tuesday its fiscal first-quarter loss narrowed as sales of its Nook e-book reader and e-books helped offset lower physical book sales.
Here's how the quarter's revenue broke down, compared with a year earlier:
_ TOTAL REVENUE: up 2 percent to $1.42 billion
_ STORE REVENUE: Down 3 percent to $1 billion
_ COLLEGE REVENUE: Down 2 percent to $220 million
_ ONLINE REVENUE: Up 37 percent to $198 million
