Radiation monitoring consulting company Landauer Inc. said Thursday that board member Michael T. Leatherman has been appointed interim chief financial officer.
Leatherman will succeed Jonathon Singer, who resigned as CFO to accept a similar position with Sagent Pharmaceuticals. Leatherman's appointment takes effect Sept. 9.
Since 2000, Leatherman, 58, has been an independent consultant. He has worked with Landauer since 2003 and has been a board member since 2008.
Leatherman will remain on the board while he is CFO but will step down from the audit and compensation committees.
Landauer will conduct a search for a permanent finance chief.
Shares of Landauer fell $1.65, or 3.4 percent, to close at $47.27.
