Oil prices were a little higher on Friday as U.S. lawmakers continued to debate spending plans and raising the nation's debt ceiling. Here's how energy prices traded.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange:
Crude rose 74 cents to settle at $99.87 per barrel.
Gasoline gained 3.39 cents to settle at $3.0906 a gallon.
Heating oil picked up 2.86 cents to settle at $3.1415 a gallon.
Natural gas added less than a penny to settle at $4.370 per 1,000 cubic feet.
On the ICE Futures exchange:
Brent crude rose $1.16 to settle at $118.67 per barrel.
