Ron Meyer, a former talent agent and longtime president of Universal Studios, has renewed his contract to continue in his role as the studio's president and chief operating officer.
Meyer was first appointed to the job in August 1995.
The studio said Meyer will remain with the company at least through 2015 and continue to report to Steve Burke, who became CEO of NBCUniversal when cable giant Comcast Corp. took over in January.
Meyer was formerly president of Creative Artists Agency, one of the largest agencies in Hollywood. He founded CAA in 1975 with four fellow agents.
