Summary Box: Survey says quality of new cars slips

CAR PROBLEMS: Drivers reported more problems with all-new or redesigned 2011 models than they did the year before, according to J.D. Power and Associates' annual survey of new vehicle quality.

THE REASON: Complaints about audio, entertainment and navigation systems got the bulk of the blame, and are up 28 percent since 2009.

WINNERS & LOSERS: Ford's quality ranking fell from fifth place in 2010 to 23rd this year because its My Ford Touch dashboard system was confusing for some drivers. Dodge brand had the most problems, the survey found. Lexus, Honda and Acura had the fewest problems.
