WET CORN: Corn prices rose for a second day Thursday on concerns that heavy rains could hurt this year's harvest. Corn rose 0.4 percent, while wheat rose 2.3 percent.
ECONOMY CONCERNS: The government reported that the economy grew at a slower pace than expected in the first quarter. That hurt prices for oil. Oil fell $1.09, or 1.1 percent, to $100.23 a barrel.
MIXED METALS: Metals prices varied. Gold for June delivery fell to $1,522.80 an ounce. But copper edged up 0.4 cents to $4.111 a pound.
