Grain futures mostly down, livestock prices tumble

Grains futures traded mostly lower Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery fell 6.5 cents to $8 a bushel; July corn gained 2.5 cents to $7.62 a bushel; July oats tumbled 6 cents to $3.58 a bushel; while July soybeans dropped 6.75 cents to $13.735 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures tumbled on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle slid 2.90 cents to $1.0420 a pound; August feeder cattle tumbled 2.75 cents to $1.23 a pound; July lean hogs sank 3 cents to 89.32 cents a pound; while July pork bellies were unchanged at $1.21 a pound.
