Oil surged above $112 per barrel Friday following a drop in the dollar and continued jitters about shipments from the world's major oil suppliers. Here's how energy contracts traded.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange:
Crude rose $2.49 to settle at $112.79 per barrel.
Gasoline gained 7.42 cents to settle at $3.2607 a gallon.
Heating oil picked up 11.37 cents to settle at $3.3197 a gallon.
Natural gas fell 1.6 cents to settle at $4.041 per 1,000 cubic feet.
On the ICE Futures exchange:
Brent crude rose $3.86 to settle at $126.12 per barrel.
