Pfizer, Ford, Southwest Airlines are big movers

Southwest Airlines Co., down 21 cents at $12.46

The airline canceled 600 flights and will likely cancel more as it checks jets for cracks that may have precipitated an emergency landing.

Pfizer Inc., up 16 cents at $20.54

The pharmaceutical company is selling its capsule-making business to private equity firm KKR for $2.38 billion.

General Dynamics Corp., down $4.05 at $73.37

Four employees of the company's Gulfstream plane-making division died after a luxury business aircraft crashed during a test flight.

Ford Motor Co., up 39 cents at $15.55

A Credit Suisse analyst upgraded the automaker, saying its first-quarter results, due later this month, may impress investors.


Epicor Software Corp., up $1.32 at $12.56

Apax Partners is acquiring the business software provider for $12.50 per share, an 11 percent premium to Friday's close.

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants Inc., up $2.10 at $9.22

The CEO of Landry's Restaurants Inc. plans to make a bid for the shares of the seafood restaurant chain that he doesn't already own.

Vivus Inc., up 42 cents at $6.73

The drug developer's potential diet pill helped reduce blood pressure and improved lipid levels after patients took it for two years.

Ambassadors International Inc., down $2.15 at 65 cents

The cruise company plans to sell off its operating business, Windstar Cruises, after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
