Grain futures rise, livestock prices mostly up

Grains futures traded higher Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery jumped 26.75 cents to $7.54 a bushel; May corn climbed 30 cents to $6.9325 a bushel; May oats were up 20 cents to $3.6950 a bushel; while soybeans for May delivery gained 44 cents to $14.16 a bushel.

Beef and pork traded mostly up on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle edged up 0.65 cent to $1.2022 a pound; May feeder cattle gained 0.07 cent to $1.3887 a pound; June lean hogs rose 0.05 cents to $1.0320 a pound; while May pork bellies were unchanged at $1.1800 a pound.
