The government says Japan's exports in February grew 9 percent from a year earlier on booming demand in China.
The finance ministry said Thursday that Japanese exports expanded to 5.59 trillion yen ($69 billion), marking the 15th consecutive month of year-on-year growth.
The world's No. 3 economy has relied on robust demand in China to fuel its recovery. China-bound shipments in February surged 29.1 percent to 1.16 trillion yen. Japan's exports to Asia increased 12.3 percent to 3.11 trillion yen.
