H.J. Heinz Co. expects its third-quarter earnings to come in above Wall Street expectations, and is raising its full-year outlook.
The food maker said Thursday that it anticipates earning of 84 cents per share for its fiscal third quarter. The company, based in Pittsburgh, says the results were fueled by growth in emerging markets.
Analysts were anticipating earnings of 81 cents per share, according to data from FactSet.
Heinz reports its third-quarter results March 3.
Heinz is also raised its full-year outlook, saying it expects to earn $3.04 to $3.10 per share. That's up from its previous forecast of $2.95 to $3.05 per share. Analysts, on average, were anticipating $3.09 per share.
