A look at consumer products maker Kimberly-Clark Corp.'s third-quarter results by unit:
PERSONAL CARE: Revenue rose 2.4 percent to $2.18 billion. Volume up 5 percent around the world and in North America. Revenue in Europe fell 5 percent, while volume rose 6 percent. Elsewhere in the world, the company saw strong growth in China and Latin America.
CONSUMER TISSUE: Revenue rose 1 percent to $1.64 billion. Volume was flat. In North America, revenue rose 2 percent and volume rose 1 percent. Prices fell 1 percent because of increased promotions.
PROFESSIONAL: Revenue fell 3 percent to $781 million. Volume also fell 3 percent. In North America, revenue fell 1 percent, and volume dropped 3 percent. In Europe, revenue fell 12 percent, and volume dropped 4 percent.
HEALTH CARE: Revenue rose 4.6 percent to $367 million. Volume fell 4 percent, and selling prices dropped 2 percent. Last year's quarter was strong because of demand stimulated by the H1N1 flu virus.
