JUST BEIGE: The Fed's Beige Book survey, released Wednesday, showed tepid growth. Seven of the Fed's 12 regions reported modest improvement. The rest were sluggish.
STEADY 10-YEAR: The yield on the benchmark 10-year note ended the trading day at 2.48 percent, the same as the day before. Its yield is a widely used benchmark for mortgages and corporate borrowing.
