UBS AG said Monday it named Lywal Salles as chairman of UBS Group Brazil and Eduardo Centola as CEO of UBS Investment Bank in Brazil.
Salles, 64, is the chairman of Banco Itau Europa International and Itau Europa Securities. Centola, 42, previously served as CEO of the Americas at Standard Bank Group.
Also, Daniel Mendonca Barros will become CEO of the UBS broker-dealer and head of the UBS Securities business in Brazil after the bank completes the acquisition of Link Investimentos. Barros, 40, was a founding partner of Link.
Shares of the company rose 27 cents to $18.06 in midday trading.
