CORN RALLY: Corn prices extended their rally for a third day, hovering at two-year highs. Traders are concerned about tight global supplies as demand remains strong among ethanol producers, livestock owners and overseas buyers.
OIL SLIP: Oil slipped as the dollar strengthened. Since crude is priced in dollars, a stronger dollar makes crude less attractive to investors who buy it with other currencies.
GOLD BOOM: Gold settled at another record high of $1,354.40 an ounce, up $9.10.
