China Ritar Power Corp., which makes nano gel batteries, said Monday that it received a contract from American Power Conversion Corp. to supply the company with valve-regulated acid batteries.
China Ritar did not disclose the size of the contract.
The batteries will be used in American Power Conversion's uninterruptible power supply products, China Ritar said.
The company also believes it will get additional orders from American Power Conversion in the future.
China Ritar shares rose 31 cents, or 11.1 percent, to $3.10
