Gov.-elect Bob McDonnell has announced three new members of his cabinet, including his pick to steer reforms in how the state manages and funds its roads, rails and ports.
Former Prince William County Board of Supervisors Chairman Sean Connaughton was named the new secretary of transportation on Tuesday. Connaughton served as administrator of the Maritime Administration and vice president of the American Bureau of Shipping.
McDonnell named state Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Todd Haymore as his secretary of agriculture and forestry.
Lisa Hicks-Thomas was named secretary of administration. She is the fourth person McDonnell brought into his leadership team from the attorney general's office.
