Two weeks after President Barack Obama held a jobs summit at the White House, the discussion is continuing at forums in Michigan and New Mexico.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development directors in those states will host meetings on job creation and economic growth.
The Michigan meeting will take place Thursday evening at Lansing Community College's West Campus in Eaton County's Delta Township. The New Mexico meeting will be in Silver City.
The discussions are part of a national series of meetings that began Wednesday in Guam and will continue into February. The primary focus of the meetings is to look for ways to accelerate job growth in rural areas.
