Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon plans stops in St. Louis and Kansas City on Wednesday to outline his proposal to create jobs in the life- and plant-science industries.

Nixon will speak at 10:30 a.m. at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis, and at 1:15 p.m. at Synbiotics Corp. in Kansas City.

Nixon's office calls the proposal a "major component" of his economic development plan for the 2010 legislative session.
