Gov. Bill Ritter says Sierra Nevada Corp. plans to add 200 jobs in Colorado as it expands its operations in the Denver suburb of Centennial.

The jobs are expected to be added within five years. A company representative didn't return a phone message seeking comment Monday.

Under a bill Ritter signed in May, companies that create at least 20 jobs in urban areas or five new jobs in rural areas can apply for state income tax credits based on the payroll tax costs they incur from creating new jobs. The new jobs must pay above-average wages for the area.
