A subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corp. has been awarded a $318 million order to provide services to an anti-explosives Army team in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Defense Department said Thursday that the work for the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization is expected to run through 2012. Four bids were solicited and two were received.

The contract was handled by the U.S. Army Research Development and Engineering Command in Maryland.
