New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch is putting a halt to pay increases for managers in 2010.
Lynch and the Executive Council approved a handful of increases Wednesday for the current calendar year. Lynch said it would be unfair to arbitrarily reject them since others already had gotten their raises this year.
But Lynch said considering the economic times, it's appropriate to put a freeze on increases due next year.
The freeze only applies to managers, supervisors and commissioners. It does not affect rank-and-file workers.
