General Dynamics gets $17.6M to convert tanks

General Dynamics Land Systems, a General Dynamics Corp. business unit, said Wednesday it received a $17.6 million contract for materials that will be used to convert U.S. tanks into tanks for Saudi Arabia.

The contract was given to General Dynamics by the U.S. Army TACOM (Tank-automotive & Armaments Command) Lifecycle Management Command.

The materials will be used convert 15 M1A2 Abrams tanks for use by the Royal Saudi Land Forces.
