Freddie Mac to issue new 3-year reference notes

Freddie Mac on Monday said it will issue a new three-year reference notes security.

The notes will price Tuesday, settle Wednesday and are due Jan. 9, 2013.

Prior to this offering, the government-sponsored mortgage agency had issued $51 billion of reference notes securities so far this year. Freddie Mac has about $255 billion in reference notes and reference bonds securities outstanding.

Shares of Freddie Mac rose a penny to $1.11 in morning trading.
