The Nuclear Regulatory Commission says a leak was discovered at a western Pennsylvania reactor, but workers quickly resolved it and no radioactive release was reported.

Tuesday's leak at the Beaver Valley Power Station's No. 2 nuclear reactor comes just days after an incident at Three Mile Island in central Pennsylvania exposed employees to small amounts of radiation.

The leak at the reactor about 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh was discovered at about 3 a.m. Tuesday. It was resolved within an hour.

The commission is declaring the incident an "unusual event," the least of four emergency classifications.
