Power company Xcel Energy Inc. on Tuesday named Riley Hill to the role of president and CEO of its Southwestern Public Service Co. (SPS) subsidiary.
Hill, 50, who has served as the chief operating officer of SPS since July, will succeed David Eves.
Eves, 51, who has served in his role since late 2006, has been named president and chief operating officer of Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo), a Denver-based unit.
Both changes are effective Nov. 15.
Eves will eventually replace Tim Taylor, president and CEO of PSCo, who is retiring Dec. 31. Taylor, 62, will continue as CEO until his retirement, at which time Eves will assume the CEO title.
