This week another healthcare bill proposed by the Senate Republicans has failed to receive enough votes to proceed. On Tuesday, CNN's Anderson Cooper replayed some of the times when President Trump promised he would repeal and replace Obamacare before his "refusal to own it."
ANDERSON COOPER: It's not exactly Harry Truman's "The Buck Stops Here," nor John F. Kennedy's rye observation as he accepted responsibility of the failed Bay of Pigs operation, that "victory has a hundred fathers and defeat is an orphan." Not even Otter's words of tough love to his Delta house frat brother, Flounder, "you effed up, you trusted us." Not even that. Instead, just this:
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: We're not going to own it. I'm not going to own it. I can tell you the Republicans are not going to own it.
President Donald Trump tweeted this morning that the Republicans "must" keep their promises:
I will be having lunch at the White House today with Republican Senators concerning healthcare. They MUST keep their promise to America!â Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 19, 2017
