Ferguson Debate Marks Return of Critical Race Theory

"White supremacy." "Covert racism." "The system." "Racism without racists." These are terms being heard more frequently as political activists attempt to make the most of the national crisis around the Ferguson grand jury's decision not to indict (white) former police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of (black) teen Michael Brown. The catch phrases herald the revival of an idea central to Barack Obama's past: Critical Race Theory.
