New Poll: Only 40% of Americans Support Extended Background Checks, Nowhere Near 90% Staff

Here we go, yet another poll that discredits the so called “90% poll” that anti-gun politicians keep spouting like it’s fact. The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) commissioned a scientific poll which would be a direct counter to the outdated, poorly performed “90% poll”. The results weren’t surprising. According to the new poll, only 4 in 10 Americas support expanding background checks at the federal level to private sales of firearms. It should be noted that it’s already illegal to sell a gun to someone who you suspect is not allowed to own one. Also, 18 states already have laws requiring background checks on private sales. The other states do allow sales between private individuals without a background check.
