Catholic University Will No Longer Pay for Employee Abortions Staff

Trustees of Loyola Marymount University voted to remove coverage for abortion under the university’s health plan on Monday. The university, a Jesuit Catholic institution, has been embroiled in controversy over the issue for weeks. Pro-life members of the faculty and administration have been fighting to end abortion coverage, saying it is inconsistent with Catholic doctrine.
