President Obama visited the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Monday to pressure House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to call an immediate vote on a clean government funding bill that would reopen the federal government after a week-long shutdown. During a visit to FEMA’s Washington headquarters, which like other federal agencies has seen its staff furloughed amid the budget stalemate, Obama plans to call on GOP House leaders to bring a “clean continuing resolution” for a vote on Monday.
