A new poll shows Newark Mayor Cory Booker retains a massive 35-point lead in the New Jersey special Senate election. The Rutgers-Eagleton poll shows Booker (D) at 64 percent and former Bogota mayor Steve Lonegan (R) at 29 percent. Booker has shown few signs of vulnerability, and the poll shows 63 percent of voters have a favorable opinion of him — versus just 19 percent unfavorable. Lonegan is much less well-known but already has a higher unfavorable rating — 22 percent — with another 22 percent viewing him favorably.
