Wow: Five out of six college students interviewed by NBC said Castro was one of the best candidates of the night.

NBC commentator says Beto speaking Spanish is "pandering 102". Oof.

  • Timothy Meads | Jun 26, 2019 11:04 PM est

MSNBC is ripping De Blasio right now... "irritating..." "obnoxious guy at the restaurant talking on the phone...."

PART II is tomorrow. We'll be here. Biden, Swalwell, and Sanders ... if you thought tonight was insane (and it was), tomorrow will be even more unhinged. Get excited!

Basically.

Warren issues her closing statement about her upbringing and family in Oklahoma, doesn’t mention high cheek bones and bogus Cherokee heritage she used to get ahead.

Overall thoughts

Tulsi and Booker will get interest bumps. Perhaps Inslee, too, because he seemed to take decent advantage of his limited openings.  Castro mixed.  Beto looks lifeless and cooked.  Warren had a big opportunity and generally faded.

Several of Delaney's answers were reasonable, which could actually benefit him because the "moderate" lane is pretty empty.

Strong closing statement from Klobuchar.

Was Warren the first... "Native American" to attend said community college? ...

Notice that Beto almost always tells an anecdote whenever he doesn't want to take a definite police stance but wants to sound charismatic

Booker once again reminds viewers that he is, in fact, from the inner city

Castro finally gets his chance to finesse with his Spanish.

Very unclear how Democrats reconcile their open border ideology with their claims of standing up for the working class. Illegal immigration suppresses wages while they claim to want higher wages for workers and a mandated minimum wage. Also, how do they reconcile factory killing climate change plans with winning back working class middle America?

Tim Ryan makes too much sense for progressives to take him seriously.

  • Victoria Marshall | Jun 26, 2019 10:54 PM est

Tim Ryan: "There's nothing worse than not being seen or heard." Ryan says after barely being seen or heard the entire debate.

"Everything humanly possible"  to defeat climate change.

Jay Inslee, you flew in a jet-fueled powered airplane to get to Miami. Sorry, bud.

  • Katie Pavlich | Jun 26, 2019 10:52 PM est

Did we really just go through two hours without Warren getting asked about her faking Cherokee heritage to get ahead?

  • Katie Pavlich | Jun 26, 2019 10:51 PM est

YAS

Maybe it's just me, but Delaney's eyes kinda freaked me out
