Presentation Paradox – THE NEW YORK TIMES
Ezra? These sentences are a complete contradiction…
You would think after all of this time, Ezra Klein might check his posts before hitting SEND.
Seriously, how do you explain that he is calling it a "lie" when Trump says Democrats give illegals healthcare, and in the very next sentence, declares that California Gov. Gavin Newsom boasts about doing that very thing?!
Trump often lies about Democrats giving healthcare to undocumented immigrants. In California, Newsom actually did it. And defends it.

"I'm proud of that. I believe in universal health care."
But, he says, "we failed on the border. We need to own up to that." pic.twitter.com/5MFgK9tFQu

Well, another deportation fable has been unraveled.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem testified before Congress, and one of the biggest takeaways was a "gotcha" moment when she was asked about deporting a military veteran. After she denied that her agency had done so, a Zoom video was displayed, where Sae Joon Park appeared and declared he had been deported to South Korea.
It took Lydia Moynihan of the New York Post, appearing on the Abby Phillip panel, to explain that this was a person with a lengthy rap sheet, had his credentials pulled under the Obama term, and had self-deported to his country of origin.
This is why people hate congressional hearings and don’t trust the media.

ICE didn’t deport a veteran. Sae Joon Park self-deported to South Korea.

It's an official narrative, folks!
It has been a laughable dose of deflection when a few outlets have attempted to cast Secretary of War Pete Hegseth as a war criminal because he bombed innocent fishermen. Despite the clear appearance of four outboard engines blasting at 50 knots miles offshore, and no fishing rods, tackle, or nets to be found, it appears that the broader news industry is content to repeat this canard.

Race to the Bottom – ESPN
Seriously, Ryan, this was one item not to play the typical card.
An amazing sports story this week was the firing of University of Michigan football coach Sherril Moore. It was discovered that he had been in a relationship with an office worker, got her pregnant, and at one point broke into her home and threatened to kill himself in front of her before running off and getting arrested.
Ryan Clark, football analyst at ESPN, had to go the inevitable route and imply that race played some kind of role in the demise of this man's career and homelife. That his affair was with a younger underling who was a white woman makes this all the more of a strained effort.
If the reports of Sherrone Moore’s firing for cause are true he failed. He failed his family first, those young men second, & a community of coaches. There’s a huge responsibility when you’re selected as the first African-American head coach to lead an historically great program.… pic.twitter.com/mqCRxpvLgp

Confirming the story you said was a non-story means it now gets non-reported?
For years, there has been the running narrative that Rep. Ilhan Omar once married her brother in order to have him declared a U.S. citizen. Many in the press chose not to investigate the details, but rather insisted that those bringing up this matter were being racist.
The Washington Free Beacon has now confirmed that this marriage did, in fact, take place, and the crickets heard from the press are deafening.
