With the attack on Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam, the reality that much of the world is getting smaller for Jews hit home.
Jews for thousands of years have been welcomed and banished from various lands. England expelled its Jews in 1290. Other lands welcomed Jews, most recently the Muslim lands that signed the Abraham Accords. Sometimes the Jewish world grows; oftentimes, it becomes smaller.
The synagogue where I pray in Jerusalem has no locks on it. In over 30 years, I remember only one time when someone tried to lock the place up. In the US, synagogues and Jewish centers have key codes to enter and security cameras to monitor. On the Sabbath, when the use of electronic codes is prohibited, armed guards are posted outside. Both in LA and here in Las Vegas, guards with weapons stand outside “shuls”, something that never existed when I was a kid growing up in a Chicago suburb. In Europe, there are guards there all of the time. During a brief visit to Vienna last year, I found a guard outside of every Jewish institution weekdays and on the Sabbath.
Both the US and Europe have made major errors in importing large numbers of Muslims into their countries. While I have no doubt that some percentage are patriotic and some other percentage integrate into their new Western homes, there clearly is a large number of such guests who bring their customs, rivalries and hatreds from home. In the US, this phenomenon of Muslim extremism is primarily found on campus, though there were loud and aggressive marches in major US cities, including Washington. US flags were burned, statues and symbols of US power were defaced, and the chants demanded the destruction of the US, in addition to Israel. I do hope that President Trump follows through on his promise to deport such people. Countries do not have to commit suicide, and if one hates the US, he can hate it from 5,000 miles away.
In Europe, the situation is far more dire and is probably lost. Yes, on Saturday, there was a protest in Amsterdam in favor of the Jews and Israel. But it does not matter. They, like their European neighbors, brought in people whose values and world views do not mesh with those of the locals—and they brought them in wholesale, in numbers well beyond what is reasonable for assimilation. So when Israeli fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer left the Ajax arena, they were attacked in a pre-planned pogrom. Dozens were hurt. Israel immediately planned to send army units, but the Dutch refused their coming. In the end, El Al ran eight flights on their own dime, two on the Sabbath—something that is unheard of—in order to get 2,000 Israelis home and away from Damascus of the north. The people involved in attacking Jews/Israelis were brought into Holland freely by the leaders of that country. In pure Keystone Kops fashion, the president, prime minister and the mayor of the city expressed shock, shock that such an attack occurred. The mayor refused to add policemen to protect the Israelis, and once they left the stadium, groups of Muslims descended upon them. Some were hospitalized, while others jumped into rivers to avoid being harmed. This is Europe? This is from the land that brought the world science, philosophy, culture, and music?
Frau Dr. Merkel and her colleagues of the day imported millions of Arab and Muslims, completely ignoring that they do not share the culture or values of Europeans. It’s one thing for a thousand Finns to move to Sweden; it’s quite something else when a million people who hate Christianity, Jews, and the West, are brought into the heart of Europe. The Democrats lost in part because they treat all blacks alike, all Hispanics alike, etc. The Europeans bought into the canard that all people are more or less the same, and having working-aged men is good for the economy. The problem is that they brought in people who have no interest in becoming Swedes, Brits, French, or Dutch. They have made their contempt public and some have vowed to establish Sharia states where Europeans have ruled for over a thousand years. If Europe really wanted to save itself, it would learn from the Amsterdam pogrom against Israelis and simply start to deport any Muslim who came illegally during the past ten years. These people will destroy everything that generations of locals have built. They don’t care about British customs or French history. The problem is that the locals are embarrassed with their histories, cultures, successes, and contributions to the world. If they were proud of their countries, they would get rid of these ingrates who wish to destroy everything. But they are embarrassed. As in the English cities that allowed thousands of young girls to be pimped out by Pakistani grooming gangs. The authorities in Rotherham and elsewhere did nothing because they were afraid of being called racists. If they loved their country and its young girls, they would have arrested and deported the lot once they learned of the crimes.
Europe is lost, and last week’s pogrom against Israeli Jews is just one more signpost on the way to the end of Europe as a Christian outpost and a Jew-friendly destination. The US will hopefully deport both illegals aliens from the south and the Muslim ingrates funded by Qatar and others. Not all cultures can be blended together. Islam, as a political-religious movement does not accept any other authority, and as such cannot be made to fit into pluralist, democratic societies. The violence in Amsterdam is the proof. Any person who wants to be an American and accept the American way of life should be welcomed via legal immigration. But if you want the destruction of the US, then pack your bags and go back to your third-world hellhole. The food, clothes, internet, cars, and the rest are probably not as good. But at least you can join your fellow US haters. We don’t want you here.
