Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday warned that time is running short for President Bashar al-Assad’s government to make reforms and transition to a democracy in Syria, according to CNN.

"It is absolutely clear that the Syrian government is running out of time. There isn't any question about that," Clinton said during a news conference in Lithuania on Friday.

Her comments come after the latest reports of attacks on protesters a day earlier in Aleppo, Syria's second-largest city, and just as activists prepare to renew their protests after Friday prayers.
