Mosin Nagant 1946, 7.62x54 w/ folding blood channel bayonet. Commie gun, but I just love to shoot it.

Wow Boaz, one I've never fired, I've held them and looked them over, just never considered it a fun weapon. Now you got me, I gotta go try one!
Thanks!

Gee, I never saw that comming Gunny! LMAO
I love my Garand, but I gotta tell ya the Tommy is more fun to shoot. And it's about the same in accuracy as the Garand, just the range deteriorates quickly after 400 yards. We gotta go shootin someday Gunny!
Thanks for adding to the list!

Man! Challenging!
Favorite rifle:
Springfield M-1A. I've loved it since Basic Training. Accessories: Harris bipod on Picatinny rail; BSA Platinum 8-32X44 Mil Dot target scope on removeable B-Square mount; removeable cheekpiece. It's either a tactical sniper set-up (with the accessories), or a great battle rifle without them.
Favorite handgun:
Springfield Black Stainless 1911 .45 ACP.
FUN gun: 1873 Sharpes .45-70.
Runners ups: 1873 Colt SAA (several calibers). Bersa Thunder .380 ACP (what a hoot to shoot!)
Gotta say, love those .22s. Cheap, fun and accurate. Ruger Mk I in handgun, Marlin in rifle. Eley ammo will print one nice little hole in the bull at 25 yds.
And, of course, like everyone else, when you want to take a stroll down Memory Lane, and play John Wayne in "Sands of Iwo Jima", there's just nothing like that trusty M1 Garand.

Yes I know, I had to exercise restraint as well. Everything I've kept I kept because I love to shoot. Nice choices! I had a sharps in 45-90 and it was a blast. That's one I wish I kept. I would also love to have listed my Ruger 10/22 with all it's accessories (looks like and AR15)for plinking (I guess I did list it now) but the bull barrel Mk1 is awesome!
Thanks for the list Brian!

My list is short
since my weapons are co-located with other members of my family (no gun safe here, and we have kids).
Browning High Power
M-1 CARBINE with the original flip/peep sight that was supposed to be replaced (the first official modification of that weapon gave it an adjustable sight).

Short list, but quality! BHP solid! Original M1 carbines with peeps are ones that never made it to Europe (low numbers) or that got shipped back in 45 for refit and the war ended. I've heard that thousands of M1 Carbines were buried un-used in the original crates in England. I've got a peep model also but mine was one sent back for refit so it was fired a bit before I got it.
Come down to my swamp sometime and we go play!!!!
Thanks for adding to the list Mud Bug!

I can hitch-hike on the 22's, for that I go to my Winchester Mod 1890 (1919) Pump.
Lots of fun and cheap to shoot.
Pistol of choice for fun is the H&R Trapper Model 7 shot revolver.
Is there any guy still alive who doesn't like to talk about his guns?
Gunny: the Garand, have I got stories from the funeral details I did with that piece.

22 Mag.. no
But oddly enough, a tenant at a former rental unit I had, left a Hi Standard Auto (22 Long) and I have to admit it is also one which I use for plinkin'. But then I've yet to find a gun I didn't like to shoot with except a '06 Sprigfield.
The distance from stock plate to trigger didn't feel right.

1. Favorite: FN49 in 7x57mm
It has 10 rounds of pure semi-automatic power.
2. 1911A1 in 45ACP (A true Classic)
3. .50 Caliber Flintlock Rifle, 1750 VA style
4. Ferguson Rifle (Breech loading flintlock!)
Honorable mentions: .357 Colt Python, .22 Walter P22, and FN Mauser in 7x57mm (the rifle I learned marksmanship with, not sure if it is a large or small ring 98 mauser action)
I am like BrianR (Only 4?). Otherwise I would mention my Savage Model 99 in .300 Savage, my grandfather's Colt single action revolver in .32-20, and my Marlin lever action in .30-30, amongst others.
I also left out my Browning Sweet 16, Winchester Model 12 in 16 guage, French Lefer Double barrel in 16 guage, and Stevens Single Shot in 16 guage (my first gun and named "Old Betsy" by my daughter).

A lively group!
Sorry to limit it to 4 or 5 Ghost but if I didn't I'd be listing 20 or more myself. FN49 Huh? That's a surprising pick. Don't get me wron, I like it, but it'snot one I'd have expected. Now the 1911A1, I'm getting buried with mine! I see you like the black powder irons. Haven't shot many I have a Kentucky Rife That I have a blast with whe nI can shoot it. Most of the ranges around here don't like muzzle loaders. I noticed the sadle rifles in there Marlin in 30-30. I've got the Marlin in 45-70 and the Winchester 94 in 30-30.
Great list!

OFF TOPIC but given your subject, did not know if you were aware the both the North and South CMP stores will be closed from apx March 14 through the first or second week in April, due to back-log and need to get orders out. Maybe someone was planning a road trip and was not aware. (Won't offer my list. Would sound "sissy" compared to ya'lls -- lol)
