Meeting Paul

Was he the "least of these"? I don't think so. I learned a lot from him. I learned that his favorite pizza was pepperoni. I learned that he was 44. I learned that he's in love with the Reds and has gone to four of their games. I learned that his ham sandwich was missing the cheese. I learned that he gave people a chance.
He sees the world a lot simpler than I do. One He sees people as people. He doesn't see a status. He lets people talk about themselves. He wants to get to know people because he finds others fascinating. More fascinating than his own life. He takes the time listen to people.
Not just people, strangers. Strangers he'll never see again.
Least of these? I don't think so.
