Dog fighting, Bulls Fighting, and abused children

Cruelty is wrong no matter what creature it is done to. Why can't we be outraged at all types of cruelty/neglect? I'm not a crazy PETA fanatic, I eat meat, wear leather, and don't mind hunting as long as what the hunter kills, he puts to use for food etc. God gave us dominion over the animals, but I believe he also gave us the responsiblity to not be actively cruel. Child abuse is wrong, wife beating is wrong, and so is dog fighting. If Vick is guilty he belongs in jail along with the child abusers and wife beaters.

The first point I was making is it would be hypocritical for me to condemn him for something that hasn't been proven. I have this weird knee jerk reaction when the media and everyone has the same opinion, I step back take a thousand deap breaths, and come up with a response.

The post is nothing more than trying to gain perspective on what was alleged. I just don't have it in me to be outraged about animals, period (although it does bug me when people bring their animals into public or leave them in vehicles when it's hot or freezing).

To a large extent the post is a complaint on the outrage driven media. While child abuse or various types of assault is covered this alleged dog fighting crime is plastered all over the place like he killed the Pope.
