This is another example of the Founders, even in their OUTSTANDING wisdom, not figuring in human nature. There is no way they could have envisioned people making a career out of public office. It simply did not exist in that era. I am a FIRM believer in term limits. If a rep. or sen. cannot effect their vision or ideas,or whatever, in 8 years or less, they DON'T NEED TO BE THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. We limit the POTUS,(at least for the time being) the REST of this bunch should be as well. I would love to see this: House, change the current unlimited amount of 2 year terms,to NO MORE than 2 4 year terms. Senate, drop it from every 6 years,to the same as the house. Then, they are ALL on the same time frame. THAT would end a whole host of problems,IMHO.I would not worry too much about Obama and judges. The most likely ones to leave while he's around are libs anyway,so it would be a wash. As to the nationalization of everything, the repubs could make a LOT of hay by announcing "We are going to return to those powers specifically enumerated to the Federal gov't by the Constitution".Do I have to wake up? I LIKE this dream!

I think keeping the senate on 6 years would be good and just making them 2 term limits. On the house they can have 4 term limits. I like the length of the terms because if offsets them nicely.

I know that the judges stepping down are liberal, but imagine being able to get rid of even those. Boy that would be fun.

Yea the political office career has only come up in the past 50 years or maybe back to earlier 1900's. Too bad since we have undergone the most damaging changes during that time.
