LOL, man

Did you *hear* Byrd's speech? God, it was hilarious!

He sounded like Paul Harvey on drugs.

Brian Brian

I saw Robert Byrd Byrd Byrd's speech before the Senate, before the Senate. It is cruelty! Cruelty! to have to suffer, suffer as a dog suffers, his ramblings his ramblings his ramblings. Someone needs to send Senator Byrd, send Senator Byrd a bookmark, bookmark, send him a bookmark so he can keep his place while he, send him a bookmark so he can keep his place while he speaks.

If you ever happen to find yourself in Hell and wish to visit the Dogfighter section, go down the hall to the left of the Mohammed Atta wing, past the special place set aside for Robert Byrd and make the 3rd left.

He's witnessed executions before?

Is he referring to possible lynchings that occurred under his reign in the KKK (you know, the Ku Ku Ku Ku Klux Klux Klux Klan Klan Klan)?

Fer he's a jolly good Kleagle

Doc - He may be the conscious of the Democrat party but not the entire Senate, one would hope.

Phil - I suspect old "Sheets" could tell an interesting story or two about his days around the campfire.

Yeah, man

he was a self-parody. It was hilarious!

BTW, It's time for my shameless plug for my new essay, this week entitled "GOP Enablers".

Guess what it's all about! LOL.

Do what?

"...for his participation in a dog fighting ring..."

So, Vick would get into the boxing ring with the dogs? How tough does think he is?

"....around the campfire."

And let's not forget...

...Ol' Buddy......ol' Buddy.......

As much as I deplore

the idea of one training dogs to rip each other apart for one's amusement, watching this guy, or for that matter, watching almost ANY of our Senators as they twitch, shake, shudder and babble mindlessly from on high causes me to worry greatly about our government.

Watch this video, or a Kennedy, Leahy, Specter, video and really let it sink in that we allow these people to make policy for us. We give them the power to lord over us. What the hell are we thinking?

Isn't it time we put limits on how much time one can spend in Government? Most companies have mandatory retirement ages and yet we allow these people to carry on for 10-20-30 years beyond that when clearly their faculties are gone. This isn't meant to insult the aged but my God, man! Would we seriously give Robert Byrd ANY responsibility for ANYTHING in the private sector beyond handing out Smiley stickers to the chillun's coming into Walmart?

Has our idea of what our government is supposed to be and do eroded to the point that we really regard it as being of so little importance that we can send these people there to type of there to do it?

Is it any wonder how our government has accrued unto itself so much control over so many things? It's because we've sent these people here and treat it as if it's an unmonitored activity center at the senior’s home. We really need to send someone there to keep these people focused on the project of the day and when they try to eat the paste we need someone to take it away from them and, with a firm hand, instruct them that as to what their assignment is.

I don't necessarily think it is solely an age issue either. After about 10 years in government one begins to lose his faculties for clear thought. It is a degenerative disease that progresses more quickly with the increase in the relative power one has over those around him. It's not confined to Congress either, look at your local governments, school boards, zoning commissions. We've really got to keep a close eye on these people. When they've degenerated to the point infancy we need to be willing to lovingly smack their hands and say "NO-NO, Bobby we don't eat the paste"

And don't get me started on

Jimmy Carter!

No, not you, the OTHER Jimmy Carter. Thanks for coming by, Ol' Buddy, Ol' buddy.

Robert Byrd

Reminds me of Foghorn Leghorn.

wil-

Would rather see Foghorn Leghorn in the Senate than RKB...
But then Foghorn's affection for dogs isn't exactly legendary; he'd probably give Vick a pass!
-Doo Dah, Doo Dah

I ya Kilroy,

We have mandatory retirement age for pilots.

How about for those who hold the yoke the Our government? We all know they drink just as much.

Sorry Wil

Trent Lott is Foghorn Leghorn.

Byrd?

Do you think anyone has explained to Byrd who Vick is yet? Or would it be a mute point? Yeah, probably a mute point.

It is offical now Sharpnot has decided it's a racial thing. He finally surfaced and put in his 1 cent worth of what ever it is he steps in.

Funny I didn't see him running down the streets of DC yelling when Barry got off of another DWI last month. Then I guess that's not a racial thing.

Another thing

Your site is very funny. I have been beating the term limits thing for ever. Not many takers yet.
