CONSERVATIVE blog bans Conservative Post

Without the actual posts it's hard to make a judgement on this.

Personally, I think of my blog as my intellectual home, and the posters that visit as my personal guests. However, if a poster starts 'breaking the furniture' so to speak, I reserve the right to ask them to leave.

If you or your ideas are unwelcome there, perhaps it's best if you found a more ameniable place to share your them, No?

I wouldn't post there again if I were you. I didn't see the article either so it's hard for me to make a judgment also as Scottie says.
There are numerous articles that have been written here regarding abortion and I haven't seen them taken down or censored.
As far as homosexuality goes, I can imagine articles relating to that would be banned since it is such a sensitive issue in the country today. Particularly if you are writing against it, but Kevin McCullough regularly writes against homosexuality here on TH.
At Redstate I only saw a fragment about the "jeffries cult" so I don't have the whole context in which you phrased your criticism.

...Redstate booted me off months ago. Why? Did I curse? Did I break their rule about using bad language (like so many do and go unpunished)? NO! I simply implied that the Accuser in the Duke rape cace was a prostitute! And I refused to back down and apologize. The very idea! And of course I have been vindicated since what with the multiple dna evidence on her undies.

I delivered a speech once on the history of the phrase 'political correctness' that concluded that PC leads to tyranny...the instructor's only neg comment was 'tyranny...why?'. My guess being that she wanted clarification on that point...

First, thank you for taking the time to respond so specifically to my e-mail. I really do appreciate all that you said. I will try to get back to your e-mail, later, but I have to be somewhat brief so I can get out and do some things around town.

I hope all will see this, but, I truly was the one at fault. I did not realize what I had said would carry so much "generalization". I really do not see every Mormon in light of one extremist. I was wrong to assess Romney and characterize him the way that I did. The fact is, he's going to go through a lot more scrutiny, as I would guess the entire Mormon church will over the course of the next couple of years.

That being said, my statement about Warren Jeffs had nothing to do with my article. If someone at the Red State site would have made a polite request of me, it would've been a lot easier for me to see what the problem was. Rather, the way things were dealt with, I did the foolish thing of getting defensive about my writing. I believe they were trying to incite me, conversely, so that I would become defensive. Game on! They won, I lost.

I realized these things in the middle of the night, last night. Scottie, I just read your e-mail a short while ago. Thank you for being honest and straightforward. If you'd like, I will try to go back and reply to your specific statements. I hope you will understand, however, that I do not want to come from a standpoint that generalizes people, as I wrongfully did Mr. Romney.

I wish I would have known, what you and I know now, about Red State. I can be very respectful, very tactful, but, it wasn't even my writing that created a problem. It was just a two sentence reply.

I don't think that it's a "True" conservative website. I agree with a lot of material that I saw there, so I thought it was a safe place to share my writing. Now, I'm feeling a little sad and hurt that this is the conversation and not the article that I posted. I actually thought I had something to say in that article, but, it's kind of been pushed to the background.

Yes, I'm not likely to go back over there. I do feel bad about my part of the misunderstanding. Yet, if they had been friendly about it, things might have been different.

You're definitely right, commercialism for their site doesn't seem to be appropriate. You know, I keep thinking about this PC language and how that something absolutely wonderful could happen if people were allowed to "feel" for themselves, rather than having someone else telling them how to feel! As Dash and DD put it, the PC police have taken over. I'm not for being rude to people, but, their exchange with me was quite ridiculous. Unfortunately, my part was not very positive, either.

I'd drop by and see what the hubbub was about. Here's my two cents:
Right or wrong, positive or negative, hate-filled or edifying, I don't think comments on sites such as Townhall and Redstate should be removed, censored, etc. Townhall will occasionally make a comment vanish, and I've argued each time that they should let it be. If the comment is deficient in some way, the author will find out soon enough from the readers who respond to it.

As for Redstate, I think they'll find that if they treat people with respect rather than as two-year-olds, they'll get respect back in return. But that's just my opinion.

You are right on! There would be much more benefit (even to those they think are spoken against) to all if it were those "offended" who had the chance to respond for themselves instead of "pc police". We might actually get to the heart of the matter rather than talking all around it.

Point in case...very few actually have had the chance to read my original article. The conversation is about how my article was banned, not even about why it was "banned"!

I have complained to Townhall, the US Attorney and the State's Attorney.

We all misspeak sometimes and that's what being human is all about. Being Christians does not absolve us of either the tendency nor the error when we fall into the tendency. It is unfortunately the website in question will not let you apologize, but we can't always control what others do. It is good that you have recognized your error and can learn from it. I'd just put it behind you at this point.

I cannot get Townhall on my internet server's e-mail because they censor it.

I am lucky enough to get it through another source but it is...in the words of Elmer Fudd, "Vewy Iwatating".

I have even written TH but they don't seem to give a dang either.

The US Attorney doesn't care, the State Attorney doesn't care...They both say go call a lawyer...

my service provider is itlnet.net. I was receiving TH up until Jan 21 when it just quit coming to the itl address. I was still getting it on Yahoo. I even re-subscribed for the itlnet address and when it didn't come in I complained. The service tech told me that TH is on a "Worldwide Spam Blacklist" and they could not do anything about it. So despite rants, raves, threats and a mild blood pressure elevation I decided to call the US Attorney. Guess they are only interested in incarcerating Border Patrol Agents or something because they were not interested in censorship. Nor was State Attorney. I have posted this on several blogs as well as notifying TH. Never got a reply from TH so guess they don't give a schidt either.

Really sorry to hear about your service provider. In all reality, you probably don't want to support somebody like that anyway. I'm glad you can get here through yahoo.

Yes, I agree that priorities are pretty mixed up. I can't believe the border Patrol story, either. Last time I checked, drug dealers were the criminals. Is it a wonder things are in such a troubled state?

NEXT baby language of the mindless children in their cribs, is "political correctness". This mantra isnt much different from their "hate speech" mantra.
