I hear the remark constantly "just because it's your choice doesn't make it the only one", or "everyone is entitled to their opinion."
Moral relativism run amok.

if you approach life and morals relatively. That means you never have to make a hard choice. they disgust me.

Stephano, I want you think about the question I am about to ask you. Does Hitlery have a "darker" motive? If we are to assume the Liberals want power and want to protect themselves, would not their support of abortion and euthanasia all over the world be a major campaign tactic?

Assume that to the Liberals, they are in a "war" for the hearts and minds of the world. Their enemies? Beyond a shadow of a doubt, their enemies would be Conservatives, Christians, and Islamists!

In a war, one object is to reduce the number of your enemies. But as Liberals, you can't go "nuking" the entire world. Your "base" won't like it.

However, if you push abortion and euthanasia, you get two for the price of one. You pander to your "base" and you reduce the number of your potential enemies.

The big problem is Islamists. Their "birth rate" is very high. But if you push for abortion in Africa, you have to be affecting the Islamists since the African continent is seeing a large increase in Islamists.

Excellent post, Stefano. Davecat sums it up perfectly about liberal/progressive mentality. They rally to protect known terrorists and obsess over caterpillars. Yet, they turn a blind eye to abortion on demand and even worse, to the tiny survivors of abortion, who are allowed to die cold and alone. Don`t speak to them of morals.

The inherent contradiction in thinking of many/most leftist liberals is a fscinating study and a frightening one as well. Your post captured this "bipolar" mindset very well. Thanx for the post!

sgt, dave and Dawn: Moral relativism is, in effect no morality at all because the resultant "standards" are simply a matter of personal preference. They will shift with the winds of politics, science, literature or whatever wind you can name. Whoever has the power can name their own morality. So if extermination of a particular group of people is seen as moral by those in power, in their terms, have at it. And while you're having at it, borrow money at the expense of taxpayers to pay for that extermination even if the taspayers are morally opposed to what you're doing.

Ghost: Looking at the results of their policies, you would think that they're trying to wipe out their own constituency. African-Americans are being aborted at an extraordinarily greater rate than other Americans. The plague of AIDS is destroying the populations of African nations, but the liberals oppose the only method that works every time it's used - abstinence. However, I think they're too inept to pull off a conspiracy of the magnitude that you mention. The consequences of the policies they promote are devastating and can be accurately described as a "Culture of Death".

Look, her remarks will only make the lemmings love her even more. Only when Dana Rohrbacher of Ca. called her out on Cheney, has the SECSTATE been even challenged by Pubs. If Obama fails, one can see her picking up the cudgels to make another try for stardom in the WH. And this time, she could make it since the lemmings will just move over to her cause with We hate Bush, Cheney, the GOP, Reagan, et al and it could work again.Drop by sometime.

are just wild about anything and anybody that supports the slaughter of the unborn. They would be equally giddy to throw away any human life that didn't meet their criteria for "worthy to live" Yet they get their knickers in a twist if we make a terrorist uncomfortable. There is no way to make sense of their worldview. They are criminals; the lot of them. AND they are running our country!!! Feels like the twilight zone.

Hillary takes pride in her acceptance of race. Her husband even declared himself the first 'black' president.
