Taxation without representation
Isn't this what tarted this country? Are we being represented or are we being ignored?
They are biting off way more then they can chew and they are spiting it in our face.

It's certainly frightening how bad this is becoming. Thank god many are voicing their frustrations at these townhall meetings, though the media and government has tried to claim these people as people who just want to interrupt the meetings no matter what. A blatant lie and disregard of the first amendment for us citizens. You are right. There will definitely be hell to pay if this passes. They are not listening to us at all.

Let's suppose for a moment this pile of dog-do is passed in ANY form ... wait until some closet KKK member gets in office and has the controls. Boy won't that just be great.
Liberals aren't just ignorant, they are severly short sighted!
Great rant, Eric.

Exactly! They're scared people actually know and read the bill, more than the representatives who are defending the bill.

Good blog, Eric! Bill Press also wrote a disgusting editorial somewhere on the internet, maybe RealClearPolitics. Couldn`t get past the first sentence.
There was a prison riot in Chino, CA, last night. They also set fire to the joint. 40 inmates were taken to the hospital with head injuries, stab wounds, etc. Guess who will be picking up that tab? Although I am sure many of them were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, some of them are surely drug dealers, child molesters, gangbangers, armed robbers, car thieves, homicidal maniacs. Great to know they are getting the best of care, paid for by the very broken State of California. (They can check out, but they can never leave!)

Our system treats pretty much anybody. Changing that doesn't make much sense to me. Improving it does. I wonder how many of those inmates were legal citizens!

I guess these mobs are the product of Bush and Cheney. Maybe even Mrs. Beasely the dog.
I am so tired of this crap. I saw that loon woman on Hardball calling the protesters "dumb racists" who can't handle a black man being in the White House. WTH! They keep trying to play the race card. Sick of it. And by the way, is there really a black man in the White House. He seems to be jet setting all over the place and never in the White House!!!

I've always noticed the race card is played when they have no rebuttal. Those with Obama seem to be losing excuses and rely more on attacks and false media coverage.

It's great how dads who are wheeling their disabled kids in, or seniors who look like they should be playing bridge are somehow deemed "an angry mom". The DNC ran an ad that goes beyond anything I've ever heard. We need to keep fighting. The country is on edge. If this gets rammed through, we're toast. Gov't programs are never revoked.

The spontaneous proponents of hc, the union thugs are all carrying prepared machine printed signs. Coincidence????? Yea riiiiggggght.

Good point. This cannot be passed. More people are learning what this bill really is and their cries are being heard by other citizens. Very few politicians are listening though, and the representatives phones are being swamped with questions. Let's keep it up. We can't sit back without a fight.

It's funny and ironic that most of the protests of ignorant individuals given money by the rich have actually been by the left for the past 8 years against our previous administration. Then, they pay liberals to mess with conservatives on websites, such as this.
The left are so hypocritical it'd be funny if it weren't our countries future at hand.

I enjoy reading TH columnists but usually skip the comment section anymore due to the troll takeover and then the repeated slams of the obvious trolls by the regular conservative posters.
I find it much more enlightning to read these blogs. Questions can be asked and answered. The few trolls that do show up usually go away because they are generally either ignored or soundly refuted with facts.
They can't be hypocrites when they have no moral compass to guide them.
By the way, congratulations to you and the new Mrs. Eric. May you live long and prosper. And may God bless you richly with the peace that passes all understanding.

I also like the TH columnists, but as you also said, I barely comment anymore as well due to trolls stinking up the place with no point other than to attack.
I keep coming back for the blogs as well. I was very happy to find this site so full of intelligent, articulate, and concerned Americans. Whether or not they agree with me, the blogs are usually great sources of civil discussion, with a few humorous jabs! Thanks for reading and I'm glad you can comment.

It seems the race card is getting played too much. Maybe if the media would do their job and stop butt kissing, the people might actually get informed.
And speaking of informed, please someone fire Robert Gibbs. Blame it on cable news. What an idiot.

I also think old folks know more of whats going on than Gibbs and Gaffes. I saw an article earlier today of the mistake the dems made missing the points of the elderly and their thoughts on the health care bill.
I'd like to see Obama, Pelosi, Reid, or Gaffes tell my Grandma who has cancer that she can't receive the medical care she needs due to rationing. It's like a very slow euthanasia.

That's probably why the also passed the stimulus bills, as well as the government takeover of GM, Saturn, AIG, Cash for clunkers, and the possibility of a bill on fake science in the cap and trade bill.
They are truly arrogant. They knew it would fail and previous bailouts here and around the world have failed. I feel like we're yelling at brick walls.
I always love their argument of us comparing this bill to Canada's. If the bill passes our health care system will be very similar to theirs. They argue that it's comparing apples to oranges. Beside that comment this guy said that there is no comparison because right now our doctors are better trained and diversified, as well as better paid and you have the option of less waiting and further opinions from other doctors.... yet this guy wanted this health care bill to pass.... I was wondering if this guy realized that he just gave our current system a very good grade.. It's people like this who have NO IDEA what the bill is and think we'll keep everything the same, but just get health care handouts.
Insanity elected this president.. Insanity supports this administration's bills.

has coined the phrase 'zero liability voter' they vote themselves the perks, but none of the payments. I also think it was Mencken who said "There are more people voting for a living, than working for a living." Fox news did report this morning that the townhall meetings are having a big effect on the independent voters. People are speaking up more and voicing opposition to HC and also cap and trade and taxes.
We aren't down yet and we're fighting back respectfully yet hard.

Being an old fart, I'll need to get my daughters/granddaughters to show me how to use the camera/video functions on my phone.

Yeah, parallels between Tolkien and the bible have been written about, and C.S. Lewis and him were friends as well. When I read your comment earlier the ring wraiths were the first thing I thought of!
I even have a little trouble with cell phones. After some experimentation I usually succeed! Then you have 13 year old girls who know the ins and outs of the phone like an engineer! And I thought the things I grew up with were technological.....
