MTV Back Half Of The Bell Curve

I gave up on MTV decades ago when I had to schedule an appointment at 3:30AM to actually see a MUSIC VIDEO.

But truly I knew all along that even the video's fed my less than productive side. MTV and pop culture in general are aimed at those on the back half of thge bell curve.

The front half is not as easily maneuvered to spend money as the back, so the target audience drives the content...

Hip Hop in particular is a Godsend to advertisers. Not even heavy metal so clearly identified the clueless amongst us to target with their wares...
