Why Do Liberals Love Pessimism?

Yep, agree with you.

Depending on physical wounds, poisonous verbal attacks lasted for lifetime. It's always hard to talk to far left liberals. They always talk about tolerance until it comes to the subject they don't agree on. They will attack you viciously or ex-communicate you.

Calling the kettle black.

Come on Susan. Have you read anything by Ann Coulter lately or for that matter many of the writers at Townline? Liberals certainly do not corner the market on toxic verbiage. As for Jesus Christ is not it he who President Bush espoused as his mentor during the campaign so many years ago, talk about pandering to conservatives. George W. must have forgotten about wanting to be like Jesus when he began the war in Iraq, which caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's and thousands of American soldiers.

Welcome back, Kate!

Thanks for your comment, Kate. I always appreciate the opinions of my liberal readers.

As far as Ann Coulter is concerned, her purpose is not to poison the minds of her readers, but, rather, to enlighten them, so I believe she is off the hook.

Your mantra, a favorite one of liberals, regarding President George W. Bush and the war in Iraq, is not unfamiliar to me, and I believe I have made it clear in previous posts that I don't at all agree with your opinion. I fully support President Bush's decisions in this matter, as I consider him to be an honorable man.

I am assuming that you read Douglass Bartley's comments before you posted yours. Just for fun, you might also enjoy reading his post, which refers to my post "Why Do Liberals Love Pessimism?".

I enjoyed hearing from you again, and encourage you to be a regular visitor.

Ann Coulter

I'm just astonished, Susan, that you say Ann Coulter is not trying to poison the minds of her readers, but rather enlighten them, so she is off the hook. People do look at things differently if they are a target of nastiness. Coulter may be trying to enlighten her conservative audience about the evilness of liberals and, so, you are correct about Coulter's intentions; but the content is nasty and the attitudes and behaviors of her audience may be manifest in their relations - even at at distance - to liberals; and it certainly won't do their own personalities any good to carry such nastiness around.

Now I do understand that they and you don't consider it nastiness, but consider it to be the truth, but you and other conservatives, though you may like to think you are, are not the objective and final arbiters. In a word that you won't like, it is relative.

To Proud Liberal - My Style Is My Own

Hello. Thanks for your comment. I am not Ann Coulter, I am Susan Baldwin. Nevertheless, I do believe that she is also trying to enlighten liberals, as her conservative readers are already enlightened about conservatism.

What you said is true. We conservatives are not the "objective and final arbiters." Liberals seem to think that they are in charge of objectivity and truth, and, as I have written in several posts, they enjoy enforcing these beliefs with hostility. So be it.
